What’s the Difference Between Christian and Public Education?
Is there really much of a difference? Think about that for a little while before you read this article.
· The purpose of Christian education is to prepare His children for work in the Kingdom of God here on earth and for eternity, not for a humanistic society of tolerance.
· Christian education partners with parents in terms of enduring values and doesn’t rely on state determined content/ideals.
· Christian education deals with the studied submission to God’s Word, God and its precepts, not to humanistic values where there is no absolute truth.
· Science from a Christian perspective involves knowing God through His creation, not the mistaken belief that we and this marvelous universe are the product of some colossal accident. Now that isn’t rational, that is pure unadulterated faith, but very misplaced!
· History is truly His Story, not some impersonal process as is taught in sectarian circles.
· Math is a reflection of the orderly mind of God, not a useful tool of happenstance.
· Christian teachers model Christ to their students, not humanism.
· Christian education teaches God’s rules and standards, not those of men.
What a blessing! What an opportunity! Have your children join us at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School and experience the difference!
