Dr. James Pagels
Principal/Administrator – Dr. James Pagels
Dr. Pagels is a Clinical Psychologist and has been an educator in Lutheran Schools since 1963. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia Teacher’s College, his Master’s Degree as an Education Specialist from Wayne State University, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit-Mercy. During his professional career, Dr. Pagels has taught in Lutheran schools in Wisconsin and Michigan. Since 1976, Dr. Pagels has worked at the Lutheran Special Education Ministries (LSEM), and retired from LSEM as Director of Diagnostics in June 2009. Dr. Pagels brings more than 45 years of service to Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School where he is presently serving as Interim Principal for the 2009/2010 school year.
